A dry pullback still needs a location
Light volume on a pullback is only interesting next to a swing the room has already named. Without the location, the dry-up is just a quiet hour.
Dry-up is not a mood
A dry pullback, in the wording of this desk, is a retreat in price on volume that is plainly lighter than the push it corrects. Students like the idea because it feels calm. The mistake is to call any quiet hour a dry pullback, including quiet hours in the middle of nowhere.
The location comes first. The retreat should be moving back toward a swing low, a broken pause, or a shelf the room already marked on structure nights. Light volume in an unmarked stretch is only light volume.
What the pencil does
On evening four the cloth comes off and the room underlines the quiet bars that sit between a known high and a known low. Bars outside that span stay clean. Wichai is strict about the underline. A student who underlines the whole morning is asked to erase and start from the last swing point.
The brass edge helps. It is not a measuring device for a formula. It keeps the underline straight so the eye can see whether the quiet bars actually belong to the pullback.
After you leave the room
At home, the same rule saves a lot of pencil. If you cannot point to the swing the pullback belongs to, do not mark the volume yet. The cohort's last evening is built so you practice that refusal on your own market, with a teacher watching.
